Beverly J. Hartle was born April 24, 1930, in the Saginaw, Michigan area — the daughter of Clifford (Lloyd) Hartle and Catherine MacKinnon Hartle. She married Jack Derry and later lived in Shepherd, Isabella County, Michigan, where she passed away on May 23, 2022. She is buried at Salt River Cemetery in Shepherd. Beverly carried both the Scottish MacKinnon heritage (through her mother) and the English/Ontario Hartle heritage (through her father).
