Debra L. Philo Derry

Life

Debra L. Philo is Kyle's mother and the daughter of Elton "Verne" Philo and Ina Mae (Racer) Philo. She married Wyn Derry — himself the son of Beverly (Hartle) Derry and Jack Derry — bringing together two distinct family lines: the Philo/Racer Michigan line and the MacKinnon/Hartle Scottish-English-Ontario line. Through her parents, she carries a distinctly Michigan heritage; through her marriage to Wyn, Kyle inherited the rich Scottish, English, and Ontario ancestral history.
